About me

I am a senior trainee in my fourth year of postgraduate training in Mindfulness-Based Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute in Bristol. The Karuna Institute was one of the first training centres for Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy in the UK. Core Process is a relational, integrative approach that looks at how we can bring awareness to our inner processes.
In addition to my private practice, I have worked for the charity Women's Aid, supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, and I am a volunteer with Somerset Mind. I am a UKCP registered trainee and receive regular clinical supervision. I adhere to the UKCP Code of Ethics. I have experience of supporting people with a range of issues including:

  • Childhood neglect and trauma
  • Depression and hopelessness
  • Anxiety and panic
  • Stress
  • Anger issues
  • Loneliness and isolation
  • Relationship difficulties and separation
  • Domestic abuse
  • Neurodiversity and identity issues

I have a particular interest in attachment processes and intergenerational trauma.

For most of my working life I have been a Company Director. I live with my husband and two children near Constantine, Falmouth.
